Salt is probably the oldest food additive in history. Long prized for its preservation capabilities, with the advent of refrigerators, salt has become less important for preservation and now is used mainly as a flavoring ingredient.
If food is not properly seasoned, it tastes bland and unappealing. Salt is not a cure-all for foods that lack flavor and this class will cover several ways to get maximum flavor from food with the minimum amount of salt.

Healthy Cooking Class - Cooking Game Meats
$149.99
Wild game provides wholesome, nourishing food, but should be preserved carefully to retain quality. Like domestic meat, wild meat is perishable, so care is needed to maintain its quality. Game animals lead active lives. As a result, their muscles are relatively lean. This makes game meat drier than domestic meat or poultry. Therefore, it is important to use cooking methods that add juiciness and flavor to game meat.
In this one day course, we will discuss and practice various cooking methods using various game meats so that you as the home cook can make the best of your hunting season.
